Kcsii, founded in May 2012, is the first public welfare research and development institution in the form of international cooperation, which is cooperated by the Korean government (Ministry of industry, trade and resources) and the Shenzhen municipal government. In August, 2020, a branch of the Research Institute was established in Shanghai, China.
The Institute aims to create an industrial platform tailored for Korean semiconductor design enterprises and Chinese IT manufacturing enterprises; Through joint r&d and providing the necessary environment (office space, technical support, investment in joint R & D projects, etc.) to promote the maximization of exchanges between semiconductor related enterprises of the two countries.
Main research and development fields: system chip; Power semiconductor; Sensors; Other smart city application technologies and other cutting-edge technologies.
